Rachel graduated from Mount Mercy University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2005. She then completed her graduate studies at the University of Iowa receiving a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2007.
She found her passion in the field of physical therapy by first starting out as a patient while rehabbing her own sports injury she developed while playing college basketball at Kirkwood Community College and Mount Mercy University. Rachel has attended numerous continuing education courses and conferences to further expand her clinical knowledge and expertise.
Rachel has practiced in outpatient orthopedics for the past 7 years. She thoroughly enjoys the energetic environment here at the Rec Center due to the people she works with, great access to a gym facility, and the use of the AlterG anti-gravity treadmill. She thrives on helping clients of all ages achieve their functional goals. Rachel loves the one on one quality care that she can provide at the Rec Center. She enjoys the challenge of evaluating each and every patient to best figure out what the problem is, why did it happen, and how can it be prevented from happening again. She provides hands -on care and caters her treatments to best meet the needs of her patients through education, manual therapy, and individualized exercise instruction.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, biking, running on the AlterG treadmill, doing yoga, hiking, and being outdoors. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Call Us NowI have had help from RCPT three times and every time was beyond expections. I have recommended RCTP to many people needing TP. I thank Dave, Miki and Lisa for all they have done for me.
Robert WWhen I started physical therapy my back hurt, I had pain going down my leg to my foot. Between Ashlee, Lisa and Nicole they taught me exercises to help strengthen my core and take the pain away.
Christine H.David has an incredible knowledge base as well as a willingness to share that knowledge. His recommendations and treatment have kept me active despite consistent over-use injuries. Great rapport with clients as well!
