We are proud to have in place an Anti-Gravity AlterG treadmill that has proved to be a success to our patients. With this treadmill, our patients have found the entire training exercise to be a simple process regardless of whether they suffer from chronic conditions or not. With this treadmill, clients have been able to exercise smoothly with no pain at all, which has allowed them to heal faster.
Do you know anything about an AlterG treadmill? This is one of the most unique pieces of equipment that lets people run or walk at lower percentages than their total body weight. In fact, the AlterG treadmill is one of the most effective treadmills that can help patients work on the different rehabilitation procedures without pain. We usually use the AlterG treadmill for patients looking to gain mobility, fitness, natural movement, and strength. This sort of treadmill is perfect for injured athletes because it reduces the risk of re-injury. It has also been shown to assist patients in gaining confidence, re-training their body’s movements with little or no injury or pain, as well as reducing the risks of re-injury.
Extensive research has been done regarding the usage of a body assisted support systems for the rehabilitation of joint pain such as attempting to walk after surgery, or the rehabilitation after stroke or arthritis. This is because the AlterG Treadmill can restore a person’s normal running and working mechanics while also supporting the tissues that are healing. The AlterG treadmill also is commonly used to assist those recovering from stress fractures, weight loss, hip or knee surgery or replacement. Doctors often recommend that patients use the AlterG treadmill because it is low impact. Patients who can benefit from this sort of therapy include: athletes that are recovering from injuries, injured soldiers returning from war, amputees that are re-learning how to move, and patients with traumatic brain injuries, among others.
There are a number of conditions and injuries that can be treated successfully by using the AlterG treadmill. Some of them include:
Early weight-bearing that comes after surgical recovery
Achilles tendinitis
Proprioceptive issues
Osteoporosis
Plantar fasciitis
Osteoarthritis

Are you wanting to reduce the impact forces on your knee joints? What about recovering from that leg injury within the shortest time possible? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then you need to consider how an AlgerG treadmill can benefit you. We have a number of them at our office, and they can help you heal as well as keep you in shape during the therapy process.
I have had help from RCPT three times and every time was beyond expections. I have recommended RCTP to many people needing TP. I thank Dave, Miki and Lisa for all they have done for me.
Robert WWhen I started physical therapy my back hurt, I had pain going down my leg to my foot. Between Ashlee, Lisa and Nicole they taught me exercises to help strengthen my core and take the pain away.
Christine H.David has an incredible knowledge base as well as a willingness to share that knowledge. His recommendations and treatment have kept me active despite consistent over-use injuries. Great rapport with clients as well!
