Yes! We are open and seeing clients in the clinic for hands-on care that can’t be accomplished via telehealth. We are getting calls to treat pain for many reasons due to faulty home workstations, increased stress/tension, improper workouts, and mishaps to name a few. We are here to help and have taken many measures to ensure safety including social distancing with staggered staffing, screening with temperature checks, cleaning, and masks!
You may not see our smiles under our masks, but it’s the same caring therapists and atmosphere you have come to count on. We are here for you. Give us a call at 319-295-8899. #staysafe #stayhealthy #RCPTstrong
On March 17, due to the COVID-19 state of emergency, Governor Reynolds suspended all limitations or restrictions regarding the provision of telehealth services, to include physical therapy.
Due to the Governor's mandate, many health insurances (to include Wellmark of Iowa) have waived copays and deductibles for virtual visits (with an in-network provider) at least through the end of May.
Please check with your insurance provider or call our office to see what your insurance covers.
Self-pay is also an option, at $25 per 15 minutes. If you are a New Patient, we are offering a free initial 15 minute session to assess whether your condition is viable for telehealth or whether it will require an initial evaluation in the clinic.
MEDICARE DOES NOT COVER PHYSICAL THERAPY TELEHEALTH VISITS, HOWEVER THEY DO COVER e-VISITS FOR EXISTING PATIENTS. IF YOU NEED TO SPEAK WITH YOUR THERAPIST, YOU MAY CALL THE OFFICE AND WE WILL SCHEDULE A TIME FOR YOU TO CALL. YOUR THERAPIST WILL THEN BE ABLE TO VIDEO-CHAT OR ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS OVER THE PHONE.
MEDICARE PATIENTS ALSO HAVE THE CHOICE TO SELF-PAY.
Call the office (319-295-8899) just as you would to schedule a regular appointment. You do not need a referral from your physician. Once scheduled, you will receive an email or text (your preference) with a reminder of your appointment date/time and a link to click a few minutes prior to your appointment. The link will take you to a virtual waiting room and then your physical therapist will join you to begin treatment.
If you are feeling tightness, soreness, or weakness, RCPT can schedule a virtual session to assess and treat your condition. We are getting calls to treat pain for many reasons due to faulty home workstations, increased stress/tension, improper workouts, and mishaps to name a few.
If we determine you require "in-clinic" treatment first, we have taken many measures to ensure safety including social distancing with staggered staffing, screening with temperature checks, cleaning, and masks!
We at Rec Center Physical Therapy invite you to visit our office and learn how you can have all of your long-term pain taken away. We have been doing this for decades and there is no reason to suffer in silence because we are here to help. Are you suffering from a long-term condition that needs to be handled as soon as possible? Let us assist you just like we have been helping hun-dreds of clients in the past.
I have had help from RCPT three times and every time was beyond expections. I have recommended RCTP to many people needing TP. I thank Dave, Miki and Lisa for all they have done for me.
Robert WWhen I started physical therapy my back hurt, I had pain going down my leg to my foot. Between Ashlee, Lisa and Nicole they taught me exercises to help strengthen my core and take the pain away.
Christine H.David has an incredible knowledge base as well as a willingness to share that knowledge. His recommendations and treatment have kept me active despite consistent over-use injuries. Great rapport with clients as well!
