Micky Hansen

Micky completed the Kirkwood Physical Therapy Assistant Program in 2008 after coming over from Copenhagen, Denmark, where he grew up. He first came to Iowa during his year as an exchange student at North Cedar High school. He then returned to Denmark to finish 2 years of education with an emphasis in Biology, Psychology and English, along with playing U20 and division 2 basketball for a local club and a bigger Copenhagen club.

Micky has been at Rec Center Physical Therapy since he graduated in 2008, and loves the clinic setting and the variety of patients. He gets the most enjoyment watching his patients get back to what they love to do whether it is sports activities, working out, or gardening.

Micky has coached youth basketball (kids age 6-14) growing up, along with playing the sport for over 18 years. He is also an active member of the Rockwell Collins Rec Center basketball league. He completed his first marathon in the fall of 2013. Over the years he has completed multiple marathons and half marathons. Some of his special interests include sports rehab, basketball, running and the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill®. He is also a big sports fan from local RoughRider hockey to pro basketball and a lot more, which he loves attending.
