Dave graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion / Exercise Science. He completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University with a focus in manual therapy.
Dave's specialties include manual therapy, sports medicine and performance, orthopedic injuries and spine mechanics. He has furthered his education and knowledge base by learning from some of the most respected professionals in the field of physical therapy. He has a special interest in treating and working with athletes. He has had the opportunity to work with athletes from youth to professional levels.
Dave views each physical therapy visit as an opportunity to work with patients to identify the problem and their rehab goals. Dave utilizes his experience and certifications to individualize treatment for each patient. He believes in using a variety of techniques including manual therapy, dry needling, patient education, and strength training. He feels that treating the needs specific to each person can provide positive and long lasting results.
In his free time, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and attending sporting events.
